Banding together for responsible cocoa

Ahold joined with several other food industry players in 2007 to initiate a program to create a more sustainable cocoa supply chain in Ivory Coast. Launched with partners including organizations Utz Certified, Cargill and Solidaridad, the program aims to build capacity at farm level and, through independent certification, guarantees improved social and environmental practices.
