Combatting childhood cancer

Stop & Shop/Giant-Landover reached its goal of raising €3.8 million in the 2007 Triple Winner Game, a program designed to gather money to care for those with childhood cancer and help find a cure. Over the 17 years that Stop & Shop/Giant-Landover has sponsored the Triple Winner Game, employees, customers and suppliers have raised more than $42 million to directly support cancer research and care for children. The program distributed tickets to customers who made a $1 donation to fight pediatric cancer. Of the $3.8 million raised in 2007, Stop & Shop raised $2.7 million while Giant-Landover employees raised $1.1 million.
