
Doing our part
In 2006, at the request of the Dutch minister of Social Affairs, the Albert Heijn Labor Affairs Department took part in a governmental task force that discussed equal pay issues for specific groups of employees, such as women and ethnic minorities, and developed a series of recommendations. Early in 2007 the taskforce shared preliminary recommendations developed with the assistance of Albert Heijn and other relevant groups. A report produced by the task force was presented later in the year to the Ministry of Social Affairs.
