
Health in our communities
In 2006, Albert Heijn launched a program to raise money for the World Cancer Research Fund and to educate consumers in our communities about the role of a good diet in reducing the risk of cancer. During the Fund's Cancer Prevention week, Albert Heijn and a group of five manufacturers donated to research 5% of the sales of certain products that may contribute to the prevention of cancer. In 2007, the program raised more than €100,000 for cancer research in just one week.
